SMOOTHIELICIOUS #13: CARROT & MELON SMOOTHIE/ SMUTI S KORENJEM IN MELONO

I made this smoothie when I was craving a light and refreshing breakfast with a kick. All I had in my fridge was a small melon and some carrots. I decided to add some ginger, lemon and water and the potion was done. I had no idea if it was going to be good and to my surprise it was amazing. The taste is not strong at all (well depending how much ginger you add), not overly sweet and just very refreshing. 
A great summer smoothie!
Carrots can be quite grainy in smoothies, so this smoothie would be even better as juice. Make sure to blend it very well or even sift it through a strainer. 


Ta smuti sem si naredila, ko mi je za zajtrk pasalo nekaj lahkega in osvežilnega. Hladilnik je bil praktično prazen, sem pa imela eno majhno melono in korenje. Temu sem dodala malo ingverja, limono in vodo in napoj je bil pripravljen. Sanjalo se mi ni, če bo sploh dober in na moje presenečenje je bil odličen. Okus je dokaj blag (no odvisno koliko ingverja dodate), rahlo sladek in zelo osvežilen. 
Odličen smuti za poletne dni!
Korenje je lahko kar peskasto v smutijih, zato bi ta smuti mogoče bil celo boljši v obliki soka. Smuti zelo dobro premešajte v blenderju in če želite ga lahko tudi presedite čez cedilo.


Ingredients:
  • 2 medium to small carrots
  • 1/2 small melon
  • small peace of ginger (the size depends to how spicy you like it)
  • juice from 1/2 lemon 
  • 1 cup of water
  • ice cubes

Preparation:
Blend all of the ingredient well in a high power blender. 
ENJOY!



Sestavine:
  • 2 manjša korenčka
  • 1/2 majhne melone
  • sok 1/2 limone
  • košček ingverja (velikost bo odvisna od tega kako močan okus po ingverju imate radi)
  • 250 ml vode
  • nekaj ledenih kock

Priprava:
Vse sestavine dobro premešajte v blenderju z visoko močjo.
