Store bought jams contain a lot of sugar and are highly processed. So today I have a delicious and healthy jam that everybody can make at home.
To make the jam thick I use chia seeds. This awesome super food is fool of omega-3 fatty acids, protein, fiber and minerals.
Kupljene marmelade vsebujejo ogromno sladkorja in so zelo
procesirane. Zato imam danes za vas okusno in zdravo marmelado, ki jo lahko
pripravite doma.
Da se marmelada zgosti uporabimo chia semena. Chia semena so
odlično super živilo, ki vsebuje veliko omega 3 maščobnih kislin, beljakovin,
vlaknin in mineralov.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 2 cups of frozen strawberries
- Water (about 1/4 cup)
- 1-2 tbsp of agave nectar (you can use honey, maple syrup or other sugar substitutes)
- 1-2 tbsp of chia seeds
Preparation:
- In a small pot heat the coconut oil on medium heat.
- Add the strawberries, cover and let them cook for a few minutes.
- Mash the strawberries with a potato masher and add water. Leave to cook for about 3 -5 minutes on low heat.
- Then add the agave nectar and chia seeds and mix well.
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool down.
- Serve on protein pancakes.
Sestavine:
- 1 jedilna žlica kokosovega olja
- 2 pesti zmrznjenih jagod
- Voda (po potrebi, jaz sem uporabila približno 1dcl)
- 1-2 jedilni žlici agavinega sirupa (lahko uporabite med, javorjev sirup ali drugo nadomestilo sladkorja)
- 1 – 2 jedilni žlici chia semen
Priprava:
- V manjši lonec damo kokosovo olje in segrejemo na srednjem ognju.
- Dodamo jagode, pokrijemo in počakamo, da se malo pokuhajo.
- Z mečkalcem za krompir rahlo potlačimo jagode in prelijemo z vodo ter pustimo, da se kuha 3-5 minut na nizkem ognju.
- Nato dodamo agavin sirup in chia semena in dobro premešamo.
- Odstavimo z ognja in pustimo, da se marmelada ohladi.
- Serviramo na proteinskih palačinkah .
