Today I have a refreshing and filling salad for you. You can eat it as a main or side dish.
Lentils are the perfect legume, they are low in calories and full of nutrients. They are extremely filling and an excellent substitute for meatless dishes. They also have a lot of vitamins (B complex), minerals (iron, potassium, zinc and magnesium) and protein. They are also full of fiber which regulates digestion.

Danes imam za vas osvežilno in hkrati nasitno solato. Lahko jo jeste kot glavno jed ali pa kot prilogo.
Leča je odlična stročnica, ki ima malo kalorij in veliko hranil. Je izredno nasitna in odlično nadomestilo mesa za brezmesne jedi. Ima veliko vitaminov (B kompleks), mineralov (železo, kalij, cink in magnezij)in beljakovin. Prav tako nas oskrbi z ogromno vlakninami, ki uravnavajo prebavo.
Ingredients:
- Lentils
- Peppers
- Celery
- Dressing: wine vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper
Preparation:
- You can use canned lentils, but it's better if you cook it yourself. First rinse the lentils under water and transfer in to a pot. Cook in a ratio of 1:2 = lentils:water. Don't forget to salt the water. When cooking, wait until the water gently boils and reduce to a low heat. Cook openly 20-30 minutes, add water if necessary (the lentils must always be covered with a little water).
- Strain the lentils and place it aside to cool.
- In the meantime, wash and slice the celery and peppers into small pieces.
- When the lentils are cool mix it with the vegetables and season to your taste.
- Store the salad in the fridge. It lasts for about 3 days.

- Leča
- Paprika
- Stebelna zelena
- Preliv: vinski kis, olivno olje, sol in poper
Priprava:
- Lahko uporabite lečo v konzervi. Še bolje pa je, da jo sami skuhate. Najprej jo dobro sperite v situ in prestavite v lonec. Kuhate jo v razmerju 1:2 = leča:voda. Ne pozabite soliti vode. Pri kuhanju počakajte,da voda rahlo zavre in znižajte na nizek ogenj. Kuhajte odkrito 20-30 minut in dodajte vodo po potrebi (leča mora biti vedno malo prekrita z vodo).
- Precedite lečo in jo postavite na stran, da se ohladi.
- Med tem operite in narežite zeleno in papriko na majhne koščke.
- Ko se leča ohladi jo zmešajte z zelenjavo in začinite po svojem okusu.
- Solato hranite v hladilniku. Zdrži do 3 dni.
