YUMMYLICIOUS #3: Energy Balls/ Energijske Kroglice

I have an awesome energy ball recipe for you this week. They are perfect for breakfast, snacks or asa healthy desert. 

Danes imamo za vas energijske kroglice, ki so odlične za zajtrk, prigrizek ali pa zdravo sladico.



Sestavine:
  • 12 dates
  • 2 tbsp of FA So Good Penaut Butter
  • 1 tbsp of cacao
  • 1/2 cup of oats
  • 1/2 cups of nuts (I used pecans, almonds and cashews)
  • Coconut chips (to roll the balls in)
  • Goji berries (to roll the balls in)


Sestavine:
  • 12 dateljnov
  • 2 jedilni žlici FA So Good Peanut Butter
  • 1 jedilna žlica kakava (nesladkanega)
  • 40g ovsenih kosmičev
  • 60g oreščkov (jaz sem uporabila pekane, mandlje in indijske oreščke)
  • Kokosov čips (za posip)
  • Goji jagode (za posip)



Preparation:
  1. First you have to remove the seeds from the dates and soak them in water (for at least 1 hour, up to 24 hours)
  2. Blend the nuts and oats in a blender or food procesor until you get the texture of coarse meal. Then put a side.
  3. Separately blend the dates until it becomes like a paste.
  4. Then mix all of the ingredients together and form in to balls.. You can also roll them in different toppings, I chose coconut chips and goji berries. 
  5. Keep the balls in an airtight container in the fridge.

Priprava:
  1. Najprej je potrebno odstraniti peške dateljnom in jih namakati v vodi(vsaj 1 uro, najbolje čim dlje - do 24ur).
  2. V blender ali multipraktik damo oreščke in ovsene kosmiče in dobro premešamo, da dobimo teksturo grobe moke. Zmes postavimo na stran.
  3. Posebej zmeljemo dateljne. Mešamo toliko časa, da postanejo kot pasta.
  4. Nato zmešamo vse sestavine skupaj in oblikujemo v kroglice. Za dodatek jih lahko povaljamo v dodatne sestavine, jaz sem uporabila kokosov čips in goji jagode.
  5. Kroglice hranite v nepredušni posodici v hladilniku.
