Lips have a very thin layer of skin and no oils to protect them. During the winter they are exposed to the sun, cold, wind and dry air which really dehydrates them.

TIP 1: HYDRATE/ HIDRACIJA
Hydration is one of the
most important things, not only for dry lips, but for the whole body. Our
bodies are made of about 70% water. By intaking water we hydrate our body, organs,
skin or in this case our lips from inside out.

organizma. Naša telesa so sestavljena iz približno 70% vode. Pitje vode hidrira
naše telo , organe in kožo od znotraj navzven.
TIP 2: DON'T LICK/ NE LIŽI
There are two theories
that don't recommend licking lips. First of all saliva evaporation, which
leads to dehydration of lips. Secondly saliva contains acids that break down food we
eat, by licking already damaged lips can irritate them even more

Izhlapevanje sline povzroča sušenje ustnic. Slina vsebuje kislino, ki razgrajuje
hrano. Ko ližemo že poškodovane ustnice jih razdražimo še bolj.
TIP 3: DON'T BITE/ NE GRIZI
Biting of skin flakes is really bed, because you are damaging the already thin skin and consequently this leads to sores. When you have sore lips the healing process takes even longer.
Grizenje ustnic poškoduje že tako tanek sloj kože in lahko
povzroča rane. Posledično tudi podaljša čas celjenja ustnic.
TIP 4: EXFOLIATE/ PILINGI
Exfoliating lips is
really great because it gently removes all of the dead skin cells
and leaves your lips extremely soft. Here are some of my favorite methods.
Pilingi za ustnice so odliÄŤni, saj neĹľno odstranijo odmrlo
kožo. V nadaljevanju lahko preberete moje najljubše oblike pilingov.
TOWEL SCRUB: All you need for a towel scrub is some warm water and a towel.
Dip the towel it to warm water and just start gently rubbing your lips in circular motion.
When you reach your desired softness stop and follow up with a moisturizer.
TOOTH BRUSH SCRUB: The toothbrush scrub is similar to the towel scrub. Just instead of the towel, you use a tooth brush.
I use the towel and toothbrush method almost every day before I go to sleep. They are just so simple and quick.
PILING Z ZOBNO ŠČETKO: Postopek pri pilingu z zobno ščetko je isti, samo da namesto brisače uporabite zobno ščetko.
Metode z brisačo in zobno ščetko uporabljam vsak večer, ker
sta tako hitre in preproste.
SCRUBS: There are so many different recipes for DIY lip scrubs, I will be posting one of my own next week. But if you're not the DIY type you can buy them in almost every beauty related shop. It actually really doesn't matter what you use, just find out what works for you.
Apply the scrub on your lips by gently rubbing in a circular motion. When you reach your desired softness stop, wash the scrub off and follow up with a moisturizer.
I use this method every two weeks, just to give my lips an extra boost.
PILINGI: Obstaja veliko razliÄŤnih receptov za pripravo
pilingov doma, tudi sama bom svojega objavila naslednji teden ÄŚe pa niste tip
ÄŤloveka, ki bi si sam pripravili piling doma, ga lahko kupite v skoraj vsaki
drogeriji.
Nanesite piling na ustnice in neĹľno drgnite s kroĹľnimi gibi.
Ko doseĹľete Ĺľeleno mehkobo prenehajte, odstranite piling z ustnic in jih
namaĹľite z vazelinom.
To metodo uporabljam enkrat na dva tedna.
TIP 5: MOISTURIZE/ VLAŽENJE
Last
but definitely not least is moisturising. Lips need protection from
wind, cold, dry air etc. Not only does moisturising lips protect them
it also hydrates them by sealing in the moister.
I use lip balms during the day and before I go to sleep. It's better to use a thick lip balm for your night time routing, so you get extra moister.

My all time favorite lip balm is from Burt's Bees: Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil
I also have this awesome lip balm from Babushka Boutique, which isn't the most hydrating lip balm but I just love the packaging so much.
Zadnje in nikakor ne najmanj pomembno je vlaĹľenje. Ustnice
potrebujejo zaščito pred vetrom, mrazom , suhim zrakom itd. Uporaba vazelina
ščiti ustnice in jih hidrira.
Jaz uporabljam vazelin vsak dan in pred spanjem. Za veÄŤerno
uporabo je bolje uporabiti bolj masten vazelin za boljšo hidracijo.
Moj najljubši vazelin je Regenerativni balzam za ustnice z oljem granatnega jabolka od Burt's Bees.
Imam tudi super vazelin iz Babushka Boutique, ki ni najboljši vazelin, ampak enostavno obožujem embalažo.
